Acceptable Use Policy

Effective 8 November 2026

This policy applies to everyone who uses Vartaloop, directly or through a product built on it. It covers the text you send, the audio you create and how you use that audio. Trying to break it is also a breach, whether or not you succeed. If you aren't sure about a use, ask us first.

Impersonation and consent

• Don't copy or imitate any real person's voice without their documented, informed consent.
• Don't impersonate a person, company, bank, government body, police or court, or imply a false link to them.
• Never submit the voice of anyone under 18, or create content that uses a real child's likeness.

Fraud and deception

• No scams, phishing or vishing, including fake KYC, OTP, refund, loan, investment, "digital arrest" or emergency calls.
• Don't collect OTPs, PINs, passwords or card details through generated speech.
• No fake evidence, false endorsements, fake reviews or deceptive advertising.
• Don't exploit people because of age, disability or financial hardship.

Spam and unlawful calling

• No calls or messages without the consent the law requires.
• No use that breaks TRAI rules, DLT registration, Do Not Disturb preferences or calling-hour limits.
• No threats, harassment or abusive debt recovery. Follow the rules that apply to your sector.

Harmful and illegal content

• Nothing that sexualises, exploits or endangers a minor. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities.
• No sexual content, or content that promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm or human trafficking.
• No hate speech, threats or targeted harassment.
• Nothing that supports illegal weapons, drugs, gambling or any other illegal activity.

Elections and public trust

• Don't mislead people about voting or interfere with an election.
• Don't imitate candidates, officials or public institutions.
• Don't run political campaigns without our written approval.

Privacy

• Don't reveal private information about someone, or process personal data unlawfully.
• Don't use voice data to identify or profile a person.
• Only send sensitive data that you are lawfully allowed to process, and no more than you need.

Uses that need our written approval

• Products directed at children.
• Medical, legal or financial advice given by an automated voice with no human oversight.
• Reselling Vartaloop as your own voice API.

Protecting the service

• Don't bypass limits, safeguards or billing, or create duplicate accounts to collect free credits.
• Don't share keys publicly, attack or overload the service, or probe it without our written permission.
• Don't extract our models or voices, or use Output to train a competing voice model.

What we do if this policy is broken

We may remove access, block requests, suspend or close accounts, forfeit credits and report to the authorities, as our Terms of Service describe. If you think we got it wrong, write to us and we'll review it.

Report misuse

If you think someone used Vartaloop to imitate you or harm others, write to roshan.purush@gmail.com with the audio, date and details. We aim to reply within 2 business days.
